General description
Ceftazidime + avibactam is a combination of a third generation cephalosporin (ceftazidime) and a betalactamase inhibitor (avibactam) used in the treatment of infections caused by extended-spectrum betalactamase-producing enterobacteriaceae or by P. aeruginosa as an alternative to treatment with carbapenem.
