The EMLc Subcommittee endorsed the inclusion of glutaral 2% solution as a disinfectant on the core list of the EMLc. The Subcommittee recognized that the disinfectants were not medicines per se, but the importance of a clean environment where children are treated was seen as a priority and the inclusion of this section was to emphasize the importance of infection control.
