Summary of evidence and Expert Committee recommendations
Following the review of the age-appropriateness of formulations on the EMLc, the Expert Committee recommended:
- the addition of a new strength of oral liquid containing equivalent to 9 mg/mL of elemental iron to the EMLc;
- remove reference to specific ferrous salts;
- to update the listing for the tablet formulation to include a strength range of 60 mg to 65 mg of elemental iron.
