Summary of evidence and Expert Committee recommendations
Following the review of the age-appropriateness of formulations for children on the EMLc, the Expert Committee recommended:
- the deletion of methadone tablet 10 mg from the EMLc;
- the deletion of methadone oral liquid 10 mg/5 mL from the EMLc;
- the deletion of methadone concentrate for oral liquid 10 mg/mL from the EMLc
- to modify the formulation descriptions of methadone concentrate for oral liquid to better describe the available dosage forms.
