Summary of evidence and Expert Committee recommendations
Following the review of the age-appropriateness of formulations on the EMLc, the Expert Committee recommended: - the addition of quinine solution for infusion 60 mg/mL to the EMLc for use in the management of severe malaria; - the deletion of quinine tablet 300 mg from the EML and EMLc; - an amendment to the footnote to specify use only in the management of severe malaria; - to modify the formulation descriptions to better describe the available dosage forms.
