Expert Committee recommendation
Following the review of the age-appropriateness of formulations on the EMLc, the Expert Committee recommended: - the addition of a new strength formulation of ceftriaxone (powder for injection: 500 mg (as sodium) in vial) to the EML and EMLc. - replacing the oral liquid formulation of clindamycin (oral liquid 75 mg/5 mL) with powder for oral liquid 75 mg/5 mL (as palmitate hydrochloride) on the EML and EMLc. - the addition of new strength formulations of IV vancomycin (500 mg, 1 g (as hydrochloride) on the EMLc. Following the review of the age-appropriateness of formulations on the EMLc, the Expert Committee recommended that the range of strengths of metronidazole tablets be replaced with reference to specific strengths on the EML and EMLc.
