Summary of evidence and Expert Committee recommendations
Following the review of the age-appropriateness of formulations on the EMLc, the Expert Committee recommended:
- the addition of doxycycline to the EML and EMLc for chemoprophylaxis of malaria due to P. falciparum in travelers in accordance with WHO guidance on international travel and health. Recommended formulations are the same as those recommended for doxycycline in Section 6.2.1 Access group antibiotics.
