Following the review of the age-appropriateness of formulations on the EMLc, the Expert Committee recommended:
- to update the footnote with the listing for primaquine to specify use only for reducing the transmission of Plasmodium falciparum and to achieve radical cure of Plasmodium vivax and Plasmodium ovale infections.
