Summary of evidence and Expert Committee recommendations
A review of the evidence supporting treatment of neglected tropical diseases in children was considered by the Expert Committee in 2011. The review focused on antischistosomal, antitrematode, anti-amoebic, antigiardiasis and antitrypanosomal medicines. For anti-amoebic and antigiardiasis medicines, no changes to the current listing of diloxanide were made.
