Summary of evidence and Expert Committee recommendations
The EMLc Subcommittee noted that alcuronium was an older drug that had largely been superseded by other non-depolarizing muscle relaxants. Alternatives to this include vecuronium (in the Complementary List) and atracurium. The Subcommittee decided to retain vecuronium, with a square box listing with selection based on availability and relative cost. The Subcommittee decided not to list alcuronium.
